Apple's support policy: the final word

Previously, I said I would not comment again on Apple's proposed changes to its technical support policy until they made an official announcement on the subject. However, based on the latest memo I have received on this subject, they do not intend to make a formal announcement. Still, they appear to have come up with a final policy.
