LiteSwitch X 1.5.1 keyboard command bug

After installing LiteSwitch X 1.5.1, a keyboard application switcher from Proteron that includes drag and drop support, application termination and window layering control, several readers noted that keyboard combinations standard to the program, such as Alt-A, Alt-Q, no longer worked.

Adam Astley from Proteron sent MacFixIt an explanation of the problem, and offers a temporary workaround:

"If a user invokes LiteSwitch X with Alt-Tab or Option-Tab, the modifier keys appear to be broken. If, on the other hand, they use Cmd-Tab, everything works fine. I've contacted our developer and don't have word on when we'll be able to correct this problem but for now the workaround is to invoke LiteSwitch X with Cmd-Tab."

Sam Caughron, an engineer with Proteron, added the following:

"We can now confirm this problem. It is unrelated to any third party extensions. With the improved support for alternate keyboard layouts, LiteSwitch X 1.5.1 breaks key-commands when Apple-Tab is not the selected Hot-Key. The Apple key is required instead of the selected modifier. An update fix will be forthcoming."
