El Gato, manufacturer of the EyeTV digital video recorder, has respnded to to the full-screen failure issue reported by several hundred MacFixIt readers, and is working on a solution.

A note from the company's technical support department reads:

"Due to the QuickTime 6.1 upgrade, Full Screen playback is not available in EyeTV 1.1 - the video plays back as black. The fix for this bug will be available shortly. Until then, you can maximize your video window (Command-4), or install an earlier version of QuickTime."

Most readers report that after updating to QuickTime 6.1 Eye TV is not able to display in full screen mode. Audio is still functional, but the screen is blank, and all video controls become disabled except for pause and quit."
