Apple posts Xserve RAID FAQ, other Knowledge Base articles

Apple has posted a two part FAQ (frequently asked questions) to its Knowledge Base regarding the new Xserve RAID. The FAQs answer questions like "Which modules can be swapped out of Xserve RAID without first opening the computer?" and "Which Xserve RAID modules can you remove or replace without first shutting down the computer?" Other notable new Knowledge Base articles, which cover issues previously noted on MacFixIt, include:

  • [#61884] iMovie 3: How to Switch From NTSC to PAL iMovie 3 initially sets all projects to PAL or NTSC video depending on the type of camcorder or device you connect to the computer, or the format of the first video you import.
  • [#25375] Mac OS X: PPP Connection Fails, How to Turn PPP LCP Echo Off This document describes how to turn off the PPP LCP (Link Control Protocol) Echo option. You may need to do this before connecting to the Internet via PPP (dial-up modem).
  • [#25381] Mac OS X: Saving Updates to Install Later You can save updates to install them later on other computers.
