Vector Library bug The author of the shareware utility StarfishX, a utility that generates unique desktop patterns, notes a bug in the Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) Beta vector library:

"Panther 7A179 has a bug in the vector library which causes StarfishX to crash when you try to generate a pattern using AltiVec. Apple is aware of this bug and no doubt will fix it prior to shipping Panther, as it potentially affects other AltiVec programs. [...] Please note that this is not a bug in StarfishX.

Camino 0.7 trunk builds Former Netscape lead Mac developer Mike Pinkerton writes in his blog that Camino 0.7 works with Panther, but trunk builds no longer function.

What is the relevance of reporting bugs on a product that is months

To make sure Apple knows we know the developers know they're there!

    Never reject first knowledge.;-)
