In this quick hint, you can learn how to sort your active windows using Snow Leopard's Expos? to help increase your workflow organization. After activating Expos? (by opening the Expos? application or using the F3 or F9 keys), users have the ability to reorder the application windows, either by application or alphabetically (based on the name of the window).

Unlock the power of Expos?:

  • To organize your Expos? windows alphabetically by window name, press (Command +1).
  • To organize your Expos? windows by application, press (Command +2).
  • You can also focus and shuffle through applications by pressing the (Tilde) or (Tab) keys. Using the (Command + Tab) keyboard shortcut will bring up the application bar. Once you select one of the applications, it will focus on that application but remain in Expos? mode.
  • You can also use the letter keys to select the window name (in alphabetical order) that begins with the corresponding letter key. Once your window is highlighted, you can use the (Space Bar) to zoom in on your window.

This is truly SAD. Macfixit has been so overtaken by CNET that it can't even get accented characters to appear right.

All I'm seeing in the above article is "Expos?", instead of "Exposé".

Not only is "Expos?", instead of "Exposé", BUT THE ARTICLE IS WRONG. You use CONTROL + 1, 2, etc., NOT command.
Doh. This is BEYOND sad, it's pathetic that the editors are so APATHETIC that they can't even get their 'hints' correct. I pity the poor noob Mac user who gets frustrated by this half**s advice; they will walk away thinking their Mac doesn't work right if they follow CNET's advice. No, wait; it's a Winblows conspiracy - give people the wrong info and they will go running into the arms of (god no) Windows 7. (I can remember when we had system 7 for the mac...years and YEARS ago...hmmmm
