Nissan unveiled the Cube for the US market at the 2008 LA Auto Show. Though it's been available in Japan for some time now, we'll know soon enough whether American buyers are ready for the Cube when it hits showrooms as a 2009 model.

Not to be overshadowed by the 370Z, the Cube is the most unconventional designs to come out of Nissan in some time. The Cube features a squared-circle theme punctuated by a radical wrap-around asymmetrical rear window. Inside, the Cube is surprisingly spacious with a relaxing aesthetic with a concentric circle theme that's repeated throughout.

Power is provided by Nissan's 122-horsepower 1.8-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder with a new-generation Xtronic CVT. A six-speed manual transmission is also available. Fuel economy has not yet been tested by the EPA, but Nissan predicts around 30mpg highway.

I love the style of the new Nissan Cube especially the wrap around windows on the rear. Another detail I quite enjoy is the raindrop pattern on the interior roof panel.

I also host a discussion forum for the Nissan Cube http://CubeAve.com stop by and check it out.
