It might seem absurd to match an efficient hybrid power train with a massive luxury SUV, but Cadillac went ahead and did it anyway. The result is a truck that offers a lot of amenities for seven passengers, plus towing capability, along with fuel economy we often see in V-6 sedans.

- Our freedoms end when we harm others with those freedoms. So the discussion of freedom around the purchase of a car, that is clearly damaging the environment, is specious. The real "freedom" being abused with this car is GM and other car makers continuing to market these trucks as a reasonable passenger vehicle. Too much money is thrown at convincing people these are some how "sexy". (For me they just look like junior school buses.) Now we, US taxpayers, are being asked to subsidize this behavior.

(7 Comments)What is strange is that people don't connect their purchase choices with the problems that are facing them and their children. We cannot continue to ignore the impact these choices make. The ultimate irony is to see these cars used to transport a child to a neighborhood school What future is the driving parent creating for this child?
Let connect the dots, folks. There are consequences for our choices.
