Kevin Rose leaks Tesla Model S pics via Twitter

Digg.com co-founder Kevin Rose has a bit of a penchant for being uncannily accurate with his Apple predictions. Is it possible that he now has some sort of inside information on Tesla Motors' upcoming Model S electric sedan?

Via Twitter, Rose announced, "someone leaked me some Tesla Model S (electric car) pics, seems to have a huge touch-screen display."

Rose finishes his post with a link to his Flickr page containing photos of the interior and exterior, including the aforementioned "huge touch screen" (which I must say is a bit of an understatement; that thing is MASSIVE).

With the Model S launching on Thursday, he's got at best a few hours' head start on the official release, but an early look is an early look, so pop over and take a peek.

Note: Rose's Flickr photo set for the Model S has been set to private, but we've reposted the images below.

The company can't produce or sell their first model, I bet the second one never sees production.

Thanks for the information, but are there no editors at CNET? Or are we just supposed to accept the fact that since this is a blog, correct grammar is irrelevant? Your lead paragraph is a run-on sentence (there should be either a period or a semicolon after "predictions") and you don't need commas around "co-founder," unless you were to write "The co-founder of Digg.com, Kevin Rose, has..." So that first paragraph should read:

Digg.com co-founder Kevin Rose has a bit of a penchant for being uncannily accurate with his Apple predictions. Is it possible that he now has some sort of inside information on Tesla Motors' upcoming Model S electric sedan?

And finally, that word in your last sentence should be "peek," not "peak."

I believe you're fighting an uphill battle, but I completely support your attempt to reintroduce (or perhaps introduce) proper grammar into the blogosphere. Keep hope alive.

Getting back to the subject...If I had the money, I would consider buying the Tesla sedan
in a second. It's nice to see that electric technology is being applied, rather than just
making naysayer comments. This is true, especially given the news about the new
technology enabling Li-Ion Phosphate batteries being charged much more quickly.
This technology will give a great shot-in-the-arm to the electric car industry.

I'm not sure what JoniScream is talking about. it is not immoral to build a solar or wind farm. You are talking about human deaths as a cause for immorality in building a solar plant? It seems you should be the one required to take a test to vote. How many people died building skyscrapers, homes, and bridges? Well I guess those deaths are ok or are you against those too? Is this some backwards rejection of modernity or some sort of twisted moral standards. And if you "need to go there" I will have my liberal art major orgasm over innovative smart solutions. BTW there is NO safe way to get rid of nuclear waist so I guess you can take that moral high road and keep barrels of harmful nuclear waist in your own backyard but dear sir not mine.

Since low coefficients of drag are not yet federally mandated, wasteful style takes precedence over frugal aerodynamics. It is a shame to waste so much energy moving air out of the way (50% at 55 mph) of this wasteful box. Aerodynamics demands the wheel wells to be covered, the belly pan smoothed, and a boat-tail affixed at the back. The car would actually be larger with more cargo room, but artists, not scientists, hold sway at Tesla. Prepare for a suboptimal future while auto executives poll ignorant buyers until the cows come home.

They have delivered some cars, but there is still a backlog. That is unless there were cancellations after the price increase.

What is most interesting about the Tesla S is that it has the ?45 min quick charge system? and ?5 minute change battery pack?. This when combined with an Electric infrastructure, such as those developed by BetterPlace (www.betterplace.com), creates a situation in which the Electric Car starts to becomes practical for daily use.
