Finally, a good reason to buy a truck this year: Sprint announced last week that the Internet connectivity of the Ford F-Series and E-Series vehicles equipped with in-dashboard computers will come through the Sprint Nationwide Mobile Broadband Network.

Although the advancement seems to be aimed at contractors who spend most of their workday in their trucks, the in-dash computers support LogMeIn, which enables users to remotely access an online PC, complete with all files and applications.

High-bandwidth Internet connectivity, coupled with a full-functioning in-dash computer, opens the market up to sales professionals or any worker who spends a lot of time on the road.

Really good news. Ford is leading automakers in in-vehicle technology. Their new nav systems with Sync technology integrated for real time traffic and current gas prices at stations in the area and voice activation with Bluetooth are some of the best in the market.

They choose the best truck on the road for installing the p.c. I have had several work trucks for farm and other use. They out perform any others ever owned. Although my truck goes in the fields, woods or wherever, it has given no problems. My wife's Lexus with comparable miles, has given many problems. My F-150 is loaded gets about 21 miles per gallon on the highway. The tires that came on it has about 40,000 miles without a front end linement. I rather drive it than the Lexus but being larger doesn't park like the Lexus.

No wonder Ford trucks are the biggest seller.
