Acura gender-bends its new model
Can't decide between an SUV and a sports car? Acura lets you remain on the fence with is ZDX, a car designed to satisfy both impulses. BMW tried a similar idea last year with the X6, although the ZDX is more car-like than that entrant. Although it might break new ground on the surface, the cabin of the ZDX is filled with the same cutting-edge car tech we liked so much in the TL.

I can't figure out what the heck is going on with Honda designing really nice looking vehicles and Acura delivering uglier and uglier products.
Shouldn't it be the other way around?
I guess I keep my 2001 MDX for a few more years or look at another vendor.
"...The ZDX's exterior was penned by Michelle Christensen (incidentally, this was her first project since joining Acura about four years ago)..." roadandtrack.com
I don't mind the lines but it unfortunately has the extended front overhang required in these FWD based designs.

- I don't mind the ZDX styling, but I'm not loving the grill on any of the Acura's these days.

(7 Comments)My current 06 TSX has nicer styling and a better ride than the new one.
Also, I'm not sure that the best business decision is to bring out another $35000+ vehicle that gets what maybe 24mpg when people are looking for better gas mileage.
This is in direct competition with the BMW X6, why try and split up total sales of 13 vehicles.
I was hoping for a 5-door TSX or bring back the RSX hatchback.
