My Favorite Cars, Pt. 3: The Ferrari 308 GTB

When I started brainstorming this week's series of blogs dedicated to my most favorite cars that I've never owned, I drifted back to my childhood. I remembered watching "Magnum P.I.," and while I never cared for the show (or Tom Selleck's porn-stache, for that matter), I did think he had a hot car to chase the bad guys in. Then I also remembered the '80s flick "Cannonball Run," and how Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. sped across the country in a fire-engine-red Ferrari with T-Tops while dressed like priests. So I thought, why not give the spotlight to that classic automobile, the Ferrari 308 GTB?

This flashy Italian sports car was the cat's meow in the 1970s and '80s. This particular 308 from 1975 is an owner's delight, and we the audience get treated to up-close looks under the hood (nice engine!) and at the interior and exterior as well. But the video wouldn't be complete without the all-important road test, where we get to see the Italian Stallion blazing around the track. Ah, I can only dream...
