Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V isn't all it can be

We love hopped-up compact cars. Driving a Civic Si, Mazdaspeed3, or GTI is always a blast, so we were anticipating the arrival of the Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. But it didn't exactly deliver on its promise. Tire squealing acceleration? Check. Flip through corners? Not so much.

But our biggest disappointment came with the lack of cabin tech. This car is clearly aimed at cell phone-toting youth, so why no Bluetooth, or iPod integration? In our opinion, the Sentra SE-R Spec V is only halfway there. Add a lowering kit, good shocks, a serious stereo system, and then you've got something.

Read our review of the 2009 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V.

1) The 2005 Dodge SRT-4 ACR would crush every example listed, now and back five years.

2) Who gives a crap about tech in a car? Driving comes first.

Firstly, the NEON SRT-4 ACR isn't being produced anymore. Hasn't been for years, which is why it isn't being listed among the direct competitors to the SE-R. There are plenty of cars that are faster than the SE-R Spec-V. We think that goes without saying.

Secondly, I'd venture a guess that the average reader of the Car Tech blog--on a tech news and reviews site, no less--would be interested in tech in a car. It's sort of our namesake. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
