How to write a letter with a car
Here's what the alphabet looks like when a car is your writing instrument.
(Credit: Toyota)With its short wheelbase and light weight, the Toyota iQ is sure to be a tossable little compact on the road, but how would it fair as a writing instrument?
Using a motion capture camera mounted with a bird's-eye view of the canvas, stunt driver Stef Vancampenhoudt proceeded to precisely write the all of letters of the alphabet using the iQ. Designers Pierre and Damien of Pleaseletmedesign then took the motion capture data and created a Toyota iQ font (which can be downloaded from here).
Check the video below to see exactly how they did it.

If you are thinking about this from the eco perspective, then get off your high and mighty horse, it was likely less than a gallon of gas that was used for this, which would have been used anyway doing some other sort of PR campaign for the tiny car. If you are talking from the $$$ perspective, again, get off it. Toyota is still in very good economic terms, and I seriously doubt that setting up a camera and driving a car around is going to put them under...

- The BMW Z4 just writes scribble-scrabble in its commercial and I'd still rather be driving the Z4...
