Looking like the stunted offspring of a Porsche 911, the PGO Cevennes Turbo-CNG is the latest face of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles in Europe. The roadster is motivated by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which gets it from standing to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds via a six-speed manual transmission.

With an underfloor gas tank, which can be filled with natural gas or biogass, Cevennes Turbo-CNG gets a (literal) gas mileage of around 32 mpg and a range of 300 miles on a full tank. The model will be put into production by its French manufacturer later this year and will go on sale in Switzerland with a price of around $70,000.

An excellent looking vehicle but is it really what we need. it looks more like we are just trying to shift the kind of fuel were using instead of getting rid of gasoline and natural gas in vehicles all together. What about electric cars and trucks? i think zap is making the best of that world. check them out at www.zapworld.com

I agree with zappedone. The recent idea has been to simply switch the fuel choice that we shove down the throats of traditional ICE engines, and while this may seem like a good idea, it still results in tailpipe emissions. Shouldn't the makes that are hailed as "new and inventive' be the one's who are striving for Zero Air Pollution. Zap is doing just that (in fact that is what Zap stands for, Zero Air Pollution), and there Xebra is ready today. http://zapworld.com/electric-vehicles/electric-cars
