Picture if you will a meeting of all the muckety mucks at Sony.

Exec 1: “Hey, we lost over a billion dollars last year, how can we make it up?”

Exec 2: “Well, what are the kids into these days?”

Exec 1: “I heard about someone called Hannah Montanah. It’s big with the girls.”

Exec 2: “Great, let’s make a purple PSP and slap her logo on it.”

Do they REALLY think that a Hannah Montanah PSP will bring Sony back to some form of being the greatest thing in gaming? I’ve got twin 5 year old girls that are Hannah crazy, but I’m not putting down $200 for a purple PSP. I think these suckers are destined for the same landfill as all the ET atari 2600 games.

Hello Gadgettes!

Hopefully you haven’t been sent this 1937 times, but I have found a laptop possibly worthy of Gadgettes review.

Yes, exactly what Molly has been looking for to upgrade Viv. It’s the Ego Lifestyle Dundee PC Notebook Computer.

This could fall under several catagories, such as Pretty (Maybe… I havent decided yet), What the Hell (When you see the price), and Tool Time, because, well, “Ego Lifestyle Dundee?

Thanks for the great podcast!

-Matt

I realize that I haven’t sent anything in for a time but nothing has really caught my attention. Or maybe it’s because “in these troubled times” (DRINK!) I just haven’t been doing much shopping online. Anyway… this one doesn’t come from a site to shop on but it just screams Gadgettes. I saw this on the Fail Blog and INSTANTLY thought of Gadgettes. I’m not sure what that means but before I could even LOL (and believe me, I did LOL) I thought, “I MUST send this to Gadgettes!” And here it is:
Enjoy!

Hey All-

Just heard your episode of gadgettes finally today on the way into work. Though I can’t record my porn track (I think I’d get way too many stares– I’ll try later this week at home if I remember) I thought I’d pass along the lovely little fact about a childhood favorite…

Mahna Mahna

You know the song we all learned from the Muppets…

Well, you see it started out as porno music. Yep! I originially learned this from Coverville and it seems wikipedia has a short article too:

Sorry to taint the childhood, but thought it was too interesting to not pass along…

Oh just for kicks… Cake did their own version.

Cheers!
Tom Merritt the Doppelganger

Gadgettes,
I was listening to episode 124 when you were talking about the NERF N-Strike Raider Rapid Fire CS 35 and Molly said, “What is digital camo? It looks so … dumb!”
With that statement, you may have managed to insult every military member in the United States! Every service has a digital camo utility uniform and I would like to think that the uniform we wear isn’t described as “… dumb”.
Off the record, I think digital camo looks kind of ridiculous.
Love the show!

I would much prefer an Executive 1 and Executive 2 segment to the vibrator segment.
Thank you for the first- no more of the second.

Here's a suggestion for your nerd lighting list: grow lights. You see, everyone knows Vampires can't survive under sunlight. This pod cast inspired my inventive brain to hypothesize that since grow lights match the wavelength spectra of the sun, they'd be great protection against Vampires. I've been testing this hypothesis inside my house and so far, we haven't had a single Vampire attack. Thus proof enough to raise it to scientific theory (hum, should it be called the wildphotons anti-vampire grow light theory or the theory of grow light spectra vampire prevention of wildphotons?). Anyway, could you help me by testing it out there. I'd like to release final results in time for Halloween.
