In honor of our special guest, Micky Hoogendijk, we cover gadgets with an international flare. You might think that a show as classy as this one might not include any questionable content. You would be wrong.

Ask a Gadgette
Hi Gadgettes
As you would have probably already heard, the Kindle is now available internationally, and ever since it came out, I have been dying to get one!, as I live in Australia, and it wasn’t available until now
I am considering whether I really need one, but I do read a large amount of books each month, and it’s hard to carry a book to read on the bus to school while having a million and one other schoolbooks.
Should I get one, and what network does it run on outside the states?
Finally, what is the price in Australian $$, as it says $279 on the amazon website but I am not sure if that is correct.
Love the show

OK, so I just marched the Sansa Clip Plus through a bunch of different kinds of music and songs I’m really familiar with: some Beethoven, some Vivaldi, some CCR, some Irish folk, some Led Zeppelin, the theme song to that other CNET podcast, My ear is usually OK: I can normally hear the difference between a CD and a standard MP3, even at pretty high bit rates, particularly for classical stuff. My report: It’s fine, whiny audiophiles.

Which is good, because it would kill me to be cranky with the podcast I listen to when I want to be cheered up. Whew. Now maybe I can stop hearing the “Depression” theme from the movie Stripes (track 3 on the soundtrack).

Love. The. Show.
Chris

Jason, Kelly, Lindsay, and Molly,

Did you ever realize that your names line up perfectly with the alphabet? J, K, L, and M. And with Natali, that adds N!

I think that if you ever decide to add anyone else to the show at any point, you’ll have to screen them carefully to make sure their name begins with either I or O.

Cheers!
Meggie
