In addition to the Nokia N96, the N series welcomed another addition to the family today at GSMA 2008: the Nokia N78. Like the other models in the series, the N78 has a heavy focus on multimedia. It has a 3.2 megapixel camara with Carl Zeiss optics, an MP3 player, an FM transmitter that allows you to stream tunes to an FM radio, whether it be in your car or home, and it will be compatible with Nokia's Music Store and N-Gage gaming platform. The N78 is also outfitted with GPS, and what's really cool is that the smartphone's GPS and imaging capabilities work together so you can geotag your photos. In addition, you can upload photos and videos straight from your device to online services like Flickr, YouTube, or Nokia's own Ovi Share.

Connecting with the N78 shouldn't be a problem as the quad-band smartphone features Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), and 3G support. Other goodies include the Symbian operating system (S60 3rd Edition), up to 70GB of internal memory, and a microSD expansion slot. The Nokia N78 is expected to ship in the second quarter this year for about $500 unlocked.
