In a very brief press release, Orange, the iPhone's official carrier in France, announced an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to "Orange customers" in Austria, Belgium, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and Orange's African markets later this year.

Orange is the latest company to overlap other carriers with regard to iPhone coverage in specific countries, further evidencing a shift away from the one-carrier-per-country model Apple has utilized thus far.
