iPhone 3G introduced: $199, GPS, white version, flush headphone jack; more

Apple has taken wraps off the 3G iPhone. Among its features:

  • Real GPS capabilities
  • thinner
  • plastic back
  • flush headphone jack
  • "improved audio"
  • same 3.5-inch display
  • solid metal buttons
  • 2.8 times faster network speeds
  • Battery: 300 hours standby; 5 hours of talk-time; 5-6 hours of browsing time; 7 hours of video
  • The 8GB 3G iPhone will be priced at $199, with a 16GB model priced at $299. The device will be available on July 11th in 22 countries.

I'm upset that the camera hasn't been improved, also, I expected a 32gb model to be announced... such a let down.. at least its coming to Canada!
