Apple has posted a new build of the iPhone software development kit (SDK) to its deveoper website. The new build is intended for applications targeted at the final build of iPhone OS 2.1 for both the iPhone and iPod touch.

Although details on specific build improvements are elusive, a note posted to the site interestingly refers to iPhone OS 2.1.1. According to sources, the document states:

"iPhone OS 2.1.1 for iPod touch. Developers using an iPod touch (2nd generation) with iPhone OS 2.1.1 will need to create the following symlink [...]"

There are also several changes to audio framework APIs in the new edition.
