I upgraded to 2.2 on my iPhone. iTunes told me my Sim card wasn't recognised and now I can no longer get a signal even with an Apple recognised operators Sim card. Anyone want to buy a useless piece of junk?

I'm having the exact same problem. All was well till about two days ago. Now my iPhone can't see any wireless networks. Went through all the posted steps and the best it was able to do was see the wireless networks after the restore process but lost the connection almost immediately and now, once again, this darn iPhone can't locate any of the many nearby WiFi networks.

Restored phone
Reset Network
All was fine with connection to wireless networks.
I have low signal strength and it reads cannot connect to "the network"
Ipod touch works fine!
I think it might be a faulty wireless card, however I bought the iphone in another country and Apple does not have a worldwide warrany so I am looking for an easy fix!

I never had this problem with my "old" iPhone, but the "new" one (3G) is only able to be connected via wifi for scant seconds before it reads in the Settings menus "no wifi" ...

Very weird, I have not had any wifi trouble with my previous iPhone. I'm heading back to Apple Store tomorrow to see what they say and to demand (!) a new one. My husband's iPhone (same as mine) does not have this problem, ever.

I recently upgraded my iPhone 3g firmware to 2.2.1. My phone isn't unlocked (yet), but the issue I have recently encountered is that my speakerphone will not work or will my bluetooth during a phone call. My speakerphone DOES work if I listen to iTunes, youtube etc. So I have eliminated a broken speaker. I have tried all the suggestions posted such as resets, shut-downs, plugging in my earbuds and still I am unable to regain the use of my speakerphone during phone calls. Unsure what to do. Has anyone else found another fix?

in re incompatibility of iPod accessories for iPhone:

My iTrip FM adapter indeed works with the iPhone. I connect it, and when the error message appears asking to change to airplane mode, I click "no" . The iTrip can then be activated, and it transmits normally. Owners of "incompatible" iTrip adapters should know this.

The screen on my phone has gone black as if i had just locked it, nothing seems to unfreeze it? i've tried pressing the lock button twice, pressing the menu button, connecting to itunes, taking out and re entering my sim. This is the second time i have had this issue. Last time i had to bring my phone back to the store and they sorted it out.

i was having the same problem and they told me it was the cover i had on my phone - it has a sensor on it to know when you are putting it close to your face so it will go black and not blind you when talking - they told me that the incase brand was the only one they have found that did not cause that problem - i got one and have not had the problem since.

My iPhone 3G isn't finding any wifi networks either. I was able to enter the network using "Other" and that worked without even needing the password while the phone was on but as soon as it went to sleep and I woke it I had to do the same thing again to get my home wifi to work. I use it often since I sync several applications with my laptop so this is a real pain. I have tried resetting network settings and that didn't help.

My new iPhone has found all the WiFi networks with no problems until 2 days ago. Suddenly I cannot access my own WiFi network. Nothing has changed and our 2 macbooks still see the network without a problem. I need a solution????!!!! Please help. Before I send it back and switch to Telecom!!
I have tried all the suggested fixes but nothing helps.

All these complaints and has anyone actually had any success fixing their Iphone? I'm having all the same problems. Just got off the phone with Apple Tech support and they said, "Looks like its time for a new Iphone." Jackasses!

I have the 'no wifi' problem too on my 18 month old iphone 3G. Took it to genius bar and genius told me my phone had been in water and the wifi antenna had corroded. Told me that iphone could continue to degrade and offered me a refurbished model at ?140. My phone has never been in contact with water. Genius claimed to be unaware of the hundreds of instances of iphones loosing wifi around the world. Lack of any information from Apple re this issue is telling. I feel it is a scam to get iphone 3G replaced with 3GS. I will live without wifi for now.
