Texas Hold'em iPhone game hides an Easter egg

I recently learned about an Easter egg in Apple's Texas Hold'em card game, which sells for $4.99 in the iTunes App Store.

If you're playing the game in landscape mode, you'll be able to see both your hand and the hands of the other players. Looks normal right? Indeed, the game will continue to look normal until you make a random touch motion on the screen.

Simply make a circle with one finger in the middle of the screen and the game's hidden Easter egg--a heart-shaped cartoon face with his hands in the air--will make its appearance. In case you missed him, we've captured the little surprise. Find our screen capture after the break.

We haven't discovered any other Easter eggs in this game or other iPhone apps, but if you or someone else you know has, please post information about them in the comments.

Wow. Someone's late to the game. It's been like this for months - you can make all different types of motions to make different faces. I've seen something like 6 different facial expressions.

try starting at different points to draw the circle. e.g. 12, 2, 6 and 9 o'clock. Different heart shaped animation will show.

Ok seriously, this is just getting sad and pathetic. Ever since CNet picked up iPhone Atlas, everything published is lame and irrelevant or simply wrong information.

These are NOT easter eggs. These are gestures that players can make to each other. They show up over WiFi to other players and are meant to be a way to interact without actually seeing the other player in person. Heck, this feature is even front-page advertised on the game's site.

Do you people do ANY research before you go out and publish this stuff? I'm removing this RSS feed from my reading to avoid any further crap information coming my way.

Yeah, you'll show that hard-working journalist. Remove that RSS feed and show 'em who's boss. Tool.

A friend passed this onto to me after purchasing an iPhone and subsequently this game - which actually has been around for a while. However this feature in the game was not known to me.

It is the first "hidden" feature of interest that I've seen in an iPhone/iPod Touch game. Therefore I decided to write about it with the hopes that others would chime in with their own discoveries in other games or applications.

I have to agree with CnetHatesBugmenot. Slow news day? This is a pretty lame post.
