iPhone OS 3.0 hamstrings popular iPhone syncing app
Registered users of Mark/Space's The Missing Sync for iPhone, a popular phone-syncing utility, received the following e-mail today regarding incompatibility issues with iPhone OS 3.0.
According to the e-mail, the software currently does not support the syncing of any new notes, text messages, or call history, because none of these can be imported into SMS Log, Call Log, or Mark/Space Notebook.
Mark/Space is working on a compatibility update that will be available free of charge by the end of June. A beta version will be available for testing some time on June 17 and available for download at Mark/Space's Web site.
Mark/Space did not indicate (and we could not verify) whether or not you should temporarily disable the application until a fix is available. Attempts to reach the company at press time by phone were not successful.
Are you experiencing problems with this application or other applications that interface with your iPhone on your Mac or PC? Let us know in the comments.

MarkSpace apps do not synch. It doesn't seem to affect
entries that are currently on my iPod Touch.

(3 Comments)Note, task and file synchronization using The Missing Sync for iPhone and Fliq apps is unaffected by iPhone OS 3.0.
Transfer of iPhone text messages, call history and iPhone Notes app notes does not currently work due to the changes Apple made to the way they are stored.
The beta build at www.markspace.com/testing addresses these issues. We are performing final QA before we officially release the update, hopefully with in a week.
I hope this helps.
