Upgraded ipod touches and what? lower prices? for invite only event? nah, i will not be taken by this. Although I don't think it should be fair to judge a company for not leaving a wow every year "imagination can only go so far" because this is apple, im not impressed. I was hoping for some crazy tablet with multi-touch, great interface and sexy finish, and all i got was a nano with a video camera, gzzzzzz, now i guess i can sleep
As for the phone features and phone book, where do I Start?
Come on, Apple. Give us the practical features we need.
The metallic forehead stamp also please
I await such an existence....
my point: from the posts here I get the impression that:
1. many Apple users dont know squat about their hardware and software....it just works until they have to install another OS to fix issues that evidently "just make it work as we wnated it to work"...
2.. many Apple users have a high horse attitude complex and are quick to slam someone who has a legititmate question and JUST MAY be a recent "customer" of the iphone mania ( I see references to someone being called MORON and other names re their need for a solution)(one guy references the asker in a reply to someone who actually offered an answer..just plain mean)
3. that people are living their lives around a device and then starting arguments about it .....
Do any of you iphoners ever use your iPhone to comment on news topics in news web sites re important issues this country is facing or is it all Itouch and iphone references???..
just wondering...tech overload
In the interim you can copy and paste text signatures from Notes and a graphic from Photos. Extra steps, but is a solution until Apple gives us a new iPhone OS.
Go to http://www.apple.com/feedback/ and let them know what you would like to see in the iPhone, the squeaky wheel gets the features.
I don't care how smart, intelligent, rich, or sad he is. Mr. Jobs is a ****.

If you do have an iphone navigate to airplane mode.
Apple can only built the features but they cant prevent M O R O N S from not finding them.
Lack of MMS on U.S. iPhones has nothing to do with Apple. It's AT&T's fault. We have been here over and over again.
Same deal with tethering. It works in markets where the carriers offer the feature.
I have tmobile in my unlocked 3gs and i have been getting mms since i bought it (3.0).
The only reason why mms hasnt worked yet on AT&T is because their servers and who knows what is not ready for the iphone to have this, They referred to network crashing and lots of bandwidth traffic that this will cause and are "currently working to have it done by the 25th" i believe.
So nope, you dont have to re-download 3.1 to get mms, just wait for "the nation's fastest 3g network" carrier figure mms out.
Having a camera would totally cannibalize the iPhone, number one, and Apple wanted to get the price down to $199, which is challenging already with the huge screen and wi-fi. Also, there's barely enough room inside the iPod Touch to fit the camera in there.
If you haven't noticed, the camera on the nano is only VGA and doesn't take still photos, only video, because in video you don't notice the crappy resolution so much.
I AM NOW IN PROCESS OF RE-INSTALLING ALL MY APPS AND VIDEOS AND MUSIC. NEVER WOULD HAVE DONE IF I KNEW WHAT A HASSLE IT WOULD BE.
i didn't realize the caps lock was on. seemed like forever
to re-install all my apps.
Listen to audiobook in iTunes, and get to the beginning of Chapter 2.
Sync with iPod Touch. Version on iPod touch is now at the beginning of Chapter 2.
Listen on iPod touch while doing whatever, get to the beginning of Chapter 5.
Synch again. Both the version on the iPod touch and the version on iTunes wind up at the beginning of Chapter 2.
This is ridiculously annoying, because it requires me to do one of two things.
1) Never, ever start listening to an Audiobook or Podcast in iTunes if I want the touch to keep its place, or.
2) Examine the timestamp on every single podcast or audiobook I haven't completed before synching, so I can keep listening from the point I've reached after synching.
Am I truly the only person who has experienced this?
