Poll: What's your favorite iPhone Twitter app?

Tweetie 2 adds a boatload of new features, including persistence: It returns you to where you left off the last time you used the app.

Twitter apps are like candy bars: everybody's got a favorite. For me it's Milky Way and TweetDeck.

Of course, there's always room for change. For instance, the Take 5 bar is increasingly my go-to treat (better hide your Halloween stash, kids), and I might just jump ship to Tweetie 2, which debuted in the App Store over the weekend.

Priced at $2.99, Tweetie's the top-paid app in the Social Networking section of the store.

New features in version 2 include an offline mode, new-message indicators, full landscape support, video uploads (for 3GS users), and faster overall performance.

So this begs the question: what's your favorite Twitter app, and why? Vote in our poll!

In the meantime, check out Webware's recent roundup of Twitter apps that let you manage multiple accounts.

And, hey, if you're headed to the comments to talk up Twitter apps, feel free to name your favorite candy, too. It's Halloween time, after all, and I can't help wondering if anyone else is harboring a secret love for Swedish Fish.

There are plenty of free Twitter clients for the iPhone/iPod touch. Some have ads whereas the paid version removes those. Others like Tweetdeck are completely free.

Been a long time Tweetie user and I absolutely love Tweetie 2. Best Twitter app by far in my opinion. It's blazing fast and it packs in a plethora of features while remaining intuitive and uncluttered.

It's hard to believe there is anything better than Twitdroid on G1 although they dropped video on most recent update - using qik.com for that now. Real time broadcasting from G1.

Twitroid is good because of its features , but for me I prefer twitterride because of its interface .

IM+
It does not allow all the features from Twitter, but IM+ does have it's own browser and can allow you to use multiple instant messaging in one app.

"What's your favorite iPhone Twitter app?"

Ewww. That's like asking, "What's your favorite Jonas Brothers album?"

i love twittelator pro. i don't even look at the other iphone twitter clients anymore. the developer is constantly working on improvements and updating the app. i have no problem paying for an app with a dev like that behind it.

I always seem to come back to TweetDeck after trying other apps. The interface is great, the updates have always been fast, and navigation is a breeze. Although TweetDeck will more than likely remain my favorite I still may have to check out Tweetie 2.

I started off with twitterfon and that was ok. then switched to Tweetie because of the hype. that was ok but my biggest gripe at the time as that i could not tell where the new post were versus the ones I glanced over. So I switched to Tweetdeck which did everything, but it did not have a landscape keyboard so I read all my tweets in tweetdeck then responded in Tweetie. Now that Tweetie 2 is out I will not switch again. It does all that i want and more.

I love Tweetie but I'm standing on principle and not paying another $2.99 for Tweetie 2. Should be a free upgrade for loyal customers.
