T-Mobile introduced the newest members of its MyTouch family of smartphones last night, the T-Mobile MyTouch and T-Mobile MyTouch Q.

Unlike past models, such as the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide and T-Mobile MyTouch 4G, the smartphones are made by LG instead of HTC and are aimed directly at first-time smartphone buyers. Both run Android Gingerbread and feature tools intended to help people easily set up the smartphone out of the box, including a setup wizard and a tips widget.

The duo also each have a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture, a front-facing camera for video calls via Qik, and Netflix support. The MyTouch features a 3.8 touch screen, while the MyTouch Q has a 3.5-inch touch screen with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

T-Mobile did not announce pricing or release dates at this time, but the carrier said the phones will be available in time for the holiday season. The T-Mobile MyTouch will come in two colors, black and white, and the MyTouch Q will be offered in gray and violet.
