I have a Transformer... they are difficult to get, but the best place to find one is Fry's Electronics. Call the various stores and ask about their stock... if they do not have it, they can tell you when they are expected to be in. It's a wonderful device... and I am an Apple Macbook Pro user. The iPad wouldn't work for me because I use the tablet for things that require flash.
What's with all of these iPad haters? True, the review is between 2 non-iPads, but when it comes down to a decision based on price, one must consider all of their options.
I don't understand why everyone is making a big deal about the Ipad 2 being mentioned. Sure it didn't need to be mentioned, but it happened and its not a big deal. The only problem I had in this video was not taking into account the 150 dollar addition to get the extra keyboard and usb ports for the Asus. Personally, I don't care about having a physical keyboard on a tablet, and the Iconia gives you full usb functionality without having to spend an extra 150. Besides that, I thought this was a fair comparison.
best buy lists the eee pad at 2.2 lbs and the iconia at 1.7 - so what's up with this prize fight saying the iconia is so heavy and that the eee pad is lighter?
So what is the better choice. I am looking to get one this week. I have iPad but I am wanting a droid. What is the best one in your guys opinions? I have seen a ACER and it seems pretty cool. I just want to make the right buy for the buck.
Personally, I like my Iconia just fine. It was what I could buy in my area at a brick and mortar store. They're just being picky. It looks, feels, and works like how I need it to. Its no ipad, but its no Walgreen tablet either.
Um, I have an iPad and I would love to have a Transformer. I want to say I should have waited but then I wouldn't have a receptacle storage to place all of my Apple apps. But I do now that unless they allow iPad 3s to have SDCards, USBs, and Flash-capabilities, I am steadfast on having Honeycomb for my next tablet. I have an EVO Android phone now, and I absolutely love it. Much better than an iPhone. Plus I have been ready for an upgrade, but why would I need to when I have everything I need on my EVO Android? All I want and optionally desire are on my Android cellphone? So now just doing the waiting game for the prices to come down a bit more on the Transformer. Unless something equal but better comes out. ^_^
I don't think Apple should be mentioned at all here as the comparison is between two ACER models, not a comparison between Apple and Acer. Also, what Android market supplies applies to both Apple and Android. There are apps that are only available on the Apple. So the fact that people here are trying to justify why they bought their worthless Ipad's and spent hundreds more when they could have bought an Acer with twice the features, speed, and size, and apps. Not to mention storage SDCard space.
Thanks
