there are acrally some of us out in the world, whom, asike from work or play (ie athletics with sweat, dmoe, rain, mud, etc) have other needs for a phone case that is AS RUGGED AND DROP/SHAKE/HURT RESISTANT AS POSSIBLE LIKE ME - I happen to have Multiple Sclerosis and have a tendency to drop things, what about persons with Parkinsons or seizures? SSDI is no a lot of money to live on, and when I an actually save enough money to purchase a myself a gift of an Iphone, I WANT TO PROTECT IT WITH EVERY MEANS POSSIBLE!!! DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE TO YOU, because don't YOU THIK I WANT A LOVELY LITTLE "SLIMFIT, CASE-MATE" SP I CAN ACTUALLY SEEE MY BEAUTIFUL DEVICE *and use my savings on mayve anoher for a different look like the NORMAL USER might likr to do????? 'Think brfore you speak from what you know not.
Case works! BUT no costomer service.. Phone number is worthless no answer, same for twitter account! Bought second gen for 4s people I call have hard time hearing me! Siri can't understand! Because of design of case I can't use docking station and the company has a dock extender but it's been out of stock for months!! Again worst part is lifeproof doesn't answer any calls, inquires or twitter posts! Sure it works to keep water out but it's worthless once your $400 phone is in it!! Horrible customer service! Don't make the same mistake I did and buy this!!!
I just bought the LifeProof case for my iPhone 4s to take on a snorkiling trip to Panama. It worked wonderfully in wading through cave streams, around the boats, and even snorkling a bit (not intentionally!) Was fully protected from water and moisture, and the screen cover did not interefere much with the usage. Definetely worth the expense given the risks I took with it, using it around the water. I didn't think the case was too bulky, and I'm used to using it withthe slimmest cases, or without one at all. My only complaint is that I casn't use it with my home docking port (iHome radio) because the docking port is so recessed into the case. Does anyone know where I can get an adapter for use with a docking port?
Bought the Ballistic Hard Core case for my iPhone4 because it looked durable and compact. It was easy to fit into my pocket and also had the option of the belt clip and outer silicone cover. However, my love for this case was short lived at the end of the day when i discovered that my charger would not connect through the case because the opening was not big enough. Tried calling customer service at 8:54 am EST on a Wednesday and recieved a recording saying they were closed and that they opened at 8:30 am EST. Threw the Ballistic case in the drawer and put my phone back in the Otterbox case it was in. Not happy with the Ballistic experience and I definitely won't recommend them to anyone.
Why aren't the Griffin Survivor and Protector on this list? I have the Protector and love it. And as far as heavy-duty goes, they say their Survivor case actually passes MilSpec rating tests.
I have bought 3 ballistic products. I have the HC series for my HTC evo, my iPad2, and I bought one for my fiancee's iPhone 4. I have had nothing but great protection from each product so far. I highly recommend GOING BALLISTIC for your devices protection.
this case rocks. i dunno why all the flack. without the outter layer it is slim and as compact as any phone should be. i looked through these reviews after i had ordered my case on line and was a bit fearful of what i would receive in the mail. i love this case. love it!!!!!
The LifeProof case was awful for me! The case only allows you to use specifically made apple charging products. Any that vary however slightly in size will not fit. Meaning my car charger.. My biggest problem was while it is waterproof it doesn't do much to protect the phone if you DROP IT! I dropped my phone from less than 4 ft. It landed on it's back, screen up. The screen shattered! For the price and overall this case sucks unless you never plan on dropping it. Waterproof is great but shock proof, no!
I have the Griffin survivor works perfectly with muy white iphone got it wet, falled down the stairs and it has falled from my pocket tons of times it might be a bit bulky but for its price 49 99 does the same as the lifeproof cover and that one is 80 bucks.
The best case I've found is made by Jack White's Label Third Man Records and Griffin. It has a sturdy Griffin case but what makes it unique is the fact the back is made from a piece of an actual vinyl record! Turns out the Drummer of the Raconteurs met the founder of Griffin and they made it happen. The vinyl backs are Interchangeable. They have a white vinyl of White Stripes Hand Springs, a Yellow Dead Weather Single and a black Raconteur single. They a tually play if you run aneedle through the grooves! Very unique and great conversation piece. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqzbMLyiK64&feature=youtube_gdata_player for video. Buy at http://store.thirdmanrecords.com/thethirdman45iphonecase.aspx ... Love the idea of having a piece of vinyl on a new iPhone 4s!

I just got the Otterbox Defender case, and its already coming apart from the hard plastic, Dont get me wrong I like it has saved my phone from a beer spillage, and being dropped on a cement floor twice, but it is big and bulky and like i said is coming apart and sometimes I find the bottom where you connect your charger doesnt stay shut.
So I was thinking about getting a enw case and came across this and was looking at the LifeProof case. I am just wondering if anyone has one? if they like it? and if its worth the money, since I did just spend $70 on the Otterbox, to spend another $80 is a little rough.
Otterbox Defender isn't good enough, as my son has broken two Ipods that have had an Otterbox defender on them. Both cases involved dropping them from a distance - one from about 8 feet, and the other about 20 feet.
Is this case substantially better? I don't care if it's bulky - I just want it to be able to stand up to my son's treatment.
I bought this case in Ukraine, namely in the online store http://iphonemarket.com.ua/ and was very pleased after purchasing iphone 4s'll think of this as a case
Don't buy a LifeProof case, my phone still got wet and they don't cover replacements. I took this picture with the iphone 4s in the Lifeproof case, after getting out of the water my phone wouldn't work.
I've had the Ballistic HC case for a month now and it's great. Perfect for my needs. I LIKE the think, bulky feel of it and being able to snap it right into the holster with one click is so convenient. The holster rotates, but I use it in horizontal configuration. I'm about to purchase a second case as a backup. One especially good feature about the belt clip on the holster is that is grabs over and under your belt, so it WILL NOT come off your belt accidentally. It does take a few seconds and some experience to remove the holster from my belt, but I like this extra security. My previous leather belt clip holder would come off my belt when I would bend over, so wasn't secure.
These type of cases are obviously for tradies, unfortunately I need one and have the Otter,,, I don't like it at all, it sticks to the inside of my pocket so you can't just slide it out, but the worst thing is the rubber surround is Never Ever!!! on properly so I am constantly tucking bits back into position, very annoying, however it is protective,,, Cheers
Hey, I want to buy this Casing for my Iphone 4s, I love it...and i want to know more about it. Tell me how can i get it pls??? i am from Kaula lumpur Malaysia...! do you have any shop near here or will it be as home delivery???? and tell me some more benefits of this Casing...! Thanks YOUSUF
I need a case for my iPhone 4s that has a front cover as I already smashed one screen. The problem is...I want something that is thin enough to fit in my front pocket. I had purchased a Showkoo, but found that it inhibited the sensors and wifi. Can someone please recommend?
have the Otterbox Defender, and am about to get rid of it. The corners have been pulling away for about 2 months (bought this in January) and now one of the sides of the rubber-case is tearing apart -- and it has barely been dropped. Probably going to get the Survivor from Griffin based on recommendations from friends that have had it for a year.
