If you have a brand-new AV receiver with onboard decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, you'll want to set the DMP-BD30 for bitstream output to take advantage of these high-resolution soundtracks. However, actually getting the DMP-BD30 to output these soundtracks at their full resolution can be a little confusing. Here's what you need to do to get it working.
- Press setup on the remote
- Choose "Audio"
- Choose "Digital Audio Output"
- Set the top four options to "Bitstream"
- Set the bottom option, "BD-Video Secondary Audio" to off.
- Exit the setup menu
