With a few tweaks, you can convert Google Earth's direction finding functionality into a flyover tour of the main streets and back roads of your community. As discovered by the Google Earth Hacks blog, simply click on "Tools" in the top nav bar, then "Options," and click on the "Touring" tab. From there, check "Driving Directions Tour Options" and input the following settings:
- Camera Title - 80 degrees
- Camera Range - 150 meters
- Speed - 50 to 75
From there, input directions in the top-right search box, allow Google Earth to calculate the route, and hit the play button at the bottom the "Search" window. Sit back and enjoy Google Earth zooms along the highways and byways.
