If you don't have a cassette deck in your vehicle, one of the simplest ways to connect an MP3 player or satellite radio receiver is via FM transmission. Unfortunately, finding an open signal can be a crapshoot if you're in or near an urban area. Luckily, there's an easy way to find vacant FM frequencies if you're near a computer with Internet access. Simply visit Radio-Locator.com, enter the city or ZIP code into the search box, and click Go. You'll be taken to a page which offers a frequency strength graph and three sets of recommended channels: vacant, next best, and third best. Obviously, a vacant channel is best.
