"Great performer with minor issues"
Pros: Lightning fast, attractive design, very good battery life
Cons: Minor issues only (see below)
Summary: CNET's done it again - written a good, objective review, then gave the product a low mark that seems to have come out of the blue. The notebook looks great, but (as with the namesake cars) it's what under the hood that counts. The Turion is fast, gets fed by plenty of RAM and supported by a very decent video card. The notebook flies through the OS and office apps, shows good movies and can run games (Battlefield 2, Empire Earth II) with little trouble at a very respectable video setting. The battery life is outstanding, though it's not in the ThinkPad's one-of-a-kind ballpark, as the reviewer is quick to point out. Some minor issues include a brief screen flicker as power is switched between AC and DC, and the fact that a standard Kensington lock has a little wobble when fitted into the security slot. The keyboard's curvature is barely noticeable when typing. Some online reviews have complained about (and lowered scores because of?) loud mouse buttons - they must have truly run out of anything of substance to say. While most notebooks don't even include a matching mouse in the package, let alone a Bluetooth one, a battery charge indicator would have been useful.
Even if you judge this notebook solely on the performance and ignore the design, it comes out a winner.

The screen flickering is really a big problem. Is it a hardware problem? And also the fan runs all the time and will never cut off. Is it a bios problem?
