"I also dont understand... 6.8 ?"
Pros: fast, exellent gaming machine
Cons: noisy DVD, curve keyboard(hard to get used to)
Summary: Some people said it's better to buy travelmate 8100 which is cheaper and uses dual channel for RAM( ferrari uses single channel ddr-333), 8100 has longer battery life(15-30 mins more). Yeah, they r right but i have found that ferrari is more faster in gaming though both machines have similar specification.
ferrari 4000 scores 2477 in 3d mark 05 (by PC Mag) while 8100 scores around 2110 ( i overclock VGA and it scores 2650).
In 3d mark 03, ferrari score around 2650 while 8100 can only manage to score around 5800
In doom3, ferrari has avg fps of 47 (by PC Mag, 1024x768, high quality, noAA,AF). 8100 has avg fps only 41)
You can see that ferrari is better than 8100 in gaming but for general use i haven't tested yet(I bought it specially for gaming)
I can play BF2 at 1024x768, high quality in 16 players map(single player) without a problem
Doom3 at 1280x1024,HQ is a bit slow but still can play)
I can also play FEAR at 1024x768 at med quality(a bit slow at some scenes but playable if u overclock the graphic card)
Ferrari uses better material for its body(carbon fiber, more expensive) than 8100 and it has ferrari logo!!, it looks unique, eye catching compared to other products from Acer.
*The OS i used to test is windows x64 which may cause slight different results*
*X700 has 358/330 for its core speed and memory speed consecutively, it can be overcloacked to 395/380)
