"This Acer Travelmate Is a good system if and only if you are willing to pay for the upgrade of RAM"
Pros: Easy access, Utilities are top noth.
Cons: Battery life, Standard ammount of RAM
Summary: Anyone who has used vista has noticed that although the minimum to run it is 512MB of RAM it doesn't perform all that well. This laptop only comes with the 512 stick and therefore is slugish, especially on the first time boot. But don't worry there is hope. If you purchase another 512 stick (which runs you about $60CDN) You will get all the performance you expect to see in the system. It's fast, reliable and although Vista still has a few bugs to work out, it's still managed to be amazing.
The only major problem i came across with the laptop was that Empowering Technology doesn't particularly like Windows Live Messenger, but tels you when it blocks it to go to the Acer site and download the updated version (this was exceptionally easy to get to because the Help and Support Center gives you the direct link to where to get it).
All in all, this laptop has exceeded my expectations and i hope it continues to perform this way for years to come.

i was told that it doesn't come with a power cord and they were hard to locate....do you know where i would be able to obtain one as well as the additional 512mb?
