If you can't recommend I drop a Powerbook off a desk, then why mention it? You can find plenty of stories like that for practically any notebook. You say Apple support is better than Dell, but you can find so many more Dell users on say www.notebookforums.com that have seen practically every problem be it software/hardware that has ever come up.
Try playing BF2, or any graphics-intensive game on high settings..can you?! Is there a better way to play games? With a go 7800 GTX equipped notebook you can run many games at 1900x1200, consoles can't match that. And the atmosphere in a PC game is far-superior
Well, not everyone cares for gaming, but it is 17 inch...more of a desktop replacement than a business machine. You mention halo yourself.
You can't use Safari..oh no! Use Firefox!
I love desktop replacement notebooks, but does Apple do something revolutionary with the G4? Not at all...
