    "Dell Inspiron 1150"

    on October 17, 2004

Pros: I do not have must to say about Dell's product strength. Most people already know what that is. So I am not going to waste your reading time.

Cons: Biggest drawback is the location of the heat exhaust fan. It is located at the bottom of the laptop. Whenever the laptop gets hot, the fans increase its spinning speed and create a very loud noise. The noise goes on for several minutes. Unlike Apple an

    "Good value. Rather poor graphics"

    on October 5, 2004

Pros: Speed. Pentium 4 2.8 GHZ is fast. 15" display is big. The battery life with the big battery is amazingly long. Price is good to fair.

Cons: Heavy, No S-Video, No firewire. Only two USB ports. Heats up, Cannot use on lap without a lap-pad.

Pros: Includes combo DVD/CR-RW, flawless display. Very fast for business applications. Comfortable layout. Suitable desktop replacement. One of my main traveling requirements is BATTERY LIFE so I equipt mine with the Celeron (instead of Pentium 4) the larger ba

Cons: Heavy, Dell outsources customer support to india, stay on hold for hours at a time. Go for the longest, mail in warranty (3 yrs) and you won't have to deal with poor phone customer support.

Cons: Not very good for the occasional gamer, the old DOOM runs great, but other games like Diablo II and Half-Life are a bit sluggish.
