"Display is not good. Hell lot of drivers are needed to get any hardware work."
Pros: Cheap, in compare to sony,hp and ibm in same configuration Laptop.
Cons: Always has some issues either with display and DVD drive and wireless.
Summary: I bought inspirion 1150 on october 2004 and within two months DVD rom started creating problems and battery in the pannel was loose. When I sent this laptop back to dell to get these issues fix. Only battery was fixed and laptop came with two new problem first wirelss card has stopped working and I found carck on the front of the pannel. I am now dealing with customer service. They did send me new wireless card but it is not working either. Intrestingly dell's warrenty department has charged me $20 then regular price as this laptop is having issues now ask them that it is their product Why should I pay if it is not working?But I did pay to extend the warrenty.
One thing that is good in Dell is their customer service. But I think this is because their products sucks. You will always find approximately 15 minutes of waiting time to reach to the representative. Their busy customer service itself is a proff of bad product line. There is no quality at all.
I will say never ever buy anything from Dell. I want to buy one more laptop that I have to decide from which company I should buy but definitly not Dell.
