"Great product from Dell!"
Pros: Design, build quality, features, price,
Cons: Worried about Dell's customer service rep.
Summary: I spent over two months researching laptops. I'm an senior in college majoring in IT, and I needed a good mid-level laptop. By the end of my research which included every reputable website and blog I could think of, I had my choices narrowed down to the HP Pavilion dv6000t and the Dell E1505. After seeing and using both computers in person, I found the simpler but more robust design and layout of the Dell to be better then the HP. I priced them both out online and they came within $100 of each other. I ordered my Dell, and within five days it arrived. My E1505 has the 2.0ghz Core 2 due, 2g of ram, and the ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics card with 256MB. After playing games, surfing the internet, and multitasking with the computer, I came away very impressed with how this computer runs Vista. I have yet to notice any slow down or hardware problems to speak of. I may have gotten lucky with this one, but I have had Dell laptops before, and I have not had major problems with any of them. Hopefully this rings true with this one. I am a little worried about Dell's percieved lack of customer service, but if this laptop keeps performing like it has, I will have no second thoughts about buying another Dell. If you're looking for a well-priced mid-level laptop that can handle Vista and more, do your self a favor and buy the Inspiron E1505!
