"Greatest Dell I've Owned"
Pros: Long battery life, light weight, extensive features for such a small laptop, tough
Cons: speakers only o.k.,graphics could have been better
Summary: I've had this computer for about a month now and so far it has performed perfectly. I needed a computer for travel and school and this was perfect because not only is it mobile, it is power packed. So far, the battery has lasted about 4 hours and I was able to play the Star Wars DVD without having to charge. I am coming from an HP ZD8000, which only has a battery life of about an hour, so this was a godsend. I even dropped this computer from my backpack, and it held up (my friends can be so stupid sometimes). The webcam swivels around, and with an external hard drive, I can store all of my lectures with no problem. The speakers however, are a little crackly when you play music sometimes and the graphics could have been better for an expensive laptop. Overall, this is a great computer! This computer, with Vista, is a real contender against the likes of the Powerbook, and if PC manufacturers keep making notebooks like this, we can put the last nail in the coffin of Apple... The 160 gig Hd, 2 gigs of ram, dvd burner, webcam and 256 mb NVIDIA geForce topped out at about $2500. But, I went to the Dell Kiosk in the mall and they gave me $100 off and 3% off with financing, a good deal. I would recommend going to the kiosks because it is a lot eaiser to negotiate with a person, than a computer.

Are you on drugs or something. You expect dell to put a Nail in apples coffin. Sorry I own Dell, Getaway, toshiba, and Sony, and let me tell you something all of them are a joke compering to Apple's. Yeah they all have its pros and cons but apple blows them away in every aspect. Think beofre you post a comment like that. Every manufacturer has its prons and cons but sony, toshiba, geteway, ibm, and other are just main stream products so they appealing to average people. Once you learn something about PC's you know that Apples design is way more advenced and user friendly. I wouldn't be supprise if within next 10 years apple will still at least 50% of the market share from all the PC based brands. So thanks for making me lough. And by the way I still have not own Apple so I am not some Apple maniac. I just used them on ocasion. And guess what yeah I might still keep few PC's at home but my main choice is already Apple and not just when it comes to PC's I think if you fallow the market little bit you see that Apple start killing its competition one after another one. And soon it will take over Laptop's as well. Better battery life, Can you two operating systems, Better for edditing. And just as good for business. Sorry In a milion years dell won't beat Apple's. I preffer Gateways than Dell and Gateway is in no way impressive.
