"Buy this before a Dell 420 or Thinkpad. You will save between $700 and $1000 for the same specs!"
Pros: Size, price, speed, standard specifications are optional with other mfrs.
Cons: Keys are a little smaller and DVDRW is external. But if you are a road warrior it will not make any difference.
Summary: This is the best kept secret for an ultraportable. I am a road warrior that hates lugging a heavy notebook. This is the best value around. I paid $999 plus shipping for what would have been $1,700 for a Dell 420 and $2,000 for a Lenovo X61 equivalents. It has dual core, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD, External DVDRW, Bluetooth, and are all standard. Screen is great! Size is fantastic! Built in PC Card and SD Card is great! I have large hands and the keys made slightly smaller has slowed down my typing but I will gladly take this small beauty over a 5 or 6 pounder. Speakers are good but tinney sounding, but I they are fine for me. If I want to listen ot music I use my Sansa mp3 player. I copied all my training DVDs to the HDD so I don't have to carry the DVDRW. Since I back up or copy files from My Docs onto a thumb drive when needed the external optical drive is not a negative for me. An extra power brick is only $31. What a steal!!!!!!!!!!!!!
