Mine has no fan problem and i got it used from retrobox.com and it's perfect. The Graphics card is amazing. Mine didn't come with intergrated wi-fi but my friend gave me a pcm card and everythings fine. It can play many games. I guess the other ppl tht rated it were just unlucky.

I am not supprised, since the merger of the great HP and troubled Compaq in 2003 the resulting so called "new HP" sucks and has been giving a slowly deteriorating service to all, I know i work for them !!

You should've known to back up your data. It sucks but it's a given that anytime your machine goes in for any reason you back up everything you need.
