"Awesome deal!"
Pros: AMD Athlon X2 4400+ upgraded; 2gb ram; 320gb hard drive; very quite
Cons: too many stickers on the machine; doesn't read it's Ghz speed right; too many useless software
Summary: I just bought this baby last week and let me tell you, I havn't been able to run these many applications unless I was using my friend's computer. I was never able to listen to my music, while surfing the internet, and working with Sony Vegas 6, and typing a paper at the same time before, the computer ran everything buttery smooth! It also comes with wireless keyboards and mouse, I'm not a big fan of wireless but they're pretty good. And the number 1 thing that surprised me the most was that when I bought it, it said it had an AMD Athlon X2 4400+, and when I looked at it's system information it had an AMD Athlon X2 4600+! That was amazing!I got more than for what I pay for! Some bad things about this is it has alot of stickers. Some stickers you don't even need sticked to this machine which takes the cool look out of this computer. This machine is also very quiet, my friend has a Gateway which is in a BTX form factor case, and this thing is just as quiet or not quieter then his Gateway, I couldn't even tell that it was on. And HP also gives you alot of uselss software, some of the games they installed for you, you only get a trial version, and if you want to play the whole thing, you have to pay $20. And some software, like Norton Security only comes with a trial version so just delete it, you don't really need it, just go to cnet download and get some free anti-virus, like AVG or Multi Virus Cleaner. Overall this is a great value for all the features you're getting. I would recommend this to anyone. I also forgot to mention that it reads the Ghz speed wrong, sometimes it goes from 2.4Ghz to 1.8Ghz, or 983Mhz, but I heard that because Cool & Quiet is enabled so when you're doing simple tasks it stays at a low speed, and when you're doing intense task, it goes all the way up. I bought this computer for $999 plus a 3 year warranty for $200, and a 19' lCD monitor for $310 after mail and rebate, and also a 3 year warranty on the monitor for an extra $40. it all adds up to about $1700 with tax.
