Meeting the growing market for digitally converged and integrated products, LG's 42-inch LCD TV (42LB1DR) is the first LCD TV with a built-in DVR. Capable of storing up to 15 hours of digital high-definition programming or 66 hours of standard-definition programming, the unit answers consumers' needs for an integrated home theater. To further meet the needs of integration the unit is Digital Cable Ready with the ability to access cable channels, including HD channels - without a cable box. The unit provides more convenient way to access HD channels. Additionally, the display incorporates TV Guide On Screen program guide for a simple and easy-to-use program listing. The unit's new generation XD Engine provides consumers with the desired better overall picture quality and viewing experience. Exclusive to LG XD Engine takes low-resolution analog signals to near high-definition levels. Furthermore meeting the continuous goal of better, crisper images the unit incorporates Super In-Plane-Switching (Super IPS) technology. Consumers can view the LCD from different angles without loss of color or image. The technology allows 178-degree viewing angle - widest in the market - and an 8 ms response time - among the fastest on the market - decreasing blurred fast motion images often seen during sporting events.
