Editors' Top Laptops

Ideal for frequent fliers, regular commuters, and other workers mindful of every ounce they carry, ultraportable notebooks have enough computing power for basic office productivity tasks in a system so light you'll barely notice it's in your bag. And while in the past portability has often come at the sacrifice of features, the latest ultraportables have upped the ante, with more of the creature comforts you'd expect from a larger laptop, such as integrated optical drives and comfortable keyboards. Granted, these machines will never replace your desktop computer--but when you're hauling your briefcase through DFW for the fourth time in a month, that won't matter.
