Quick Take: The Panasonic DMC-FX01 is the latest in Panasonic's FX line of digital cameras. This 6-megapixel point-and-shoot camera shares the small form factor of its predecessors but with one notable upgrade: The FX01 has a 28mm wide-angle 3.6X optical zoom lens. The lens isn't quite as wide as the 23mm lens of the Kodak EasyShare V570 but also doesn't have the V570's unusual dual-lens mechanism. The camera also has optical image stabilization, to reduce blur on zoomed shots. The Panasonic DMC-FX01 ships in March and will have a retail price of about $350.
