Thumbs Down

Cons:

Review: I'm "peebee", the author of the 3/6/03 review. My review was definitely thumbs down, I don't know why you posted it as thumbs up.

Careful. . . .

Pros:

Cons:

Review: This review is actually for the PT-50PHD4-P, which is a newer version of the PT-50PD3-P There's only one set of component inputs. That sucks. Fujitsu and Pioneer have better inputs. Don't count on a receiver to do the job. The VGA input cannot be used for component input. With this monitor, you are very reliant on your supporting electronics, make sure you get whatever inputs you need on them cause they're not on the TV. Documentation and Panasonic support for this are nonexistant. Amazing for a $10,000 TV. Really annoying that you cannot zoom/stretch/etc. when you're receiving an HD signal. Amazing given that most broadcasters send out their 4:3 shows with black bars on the sides; you are powerless to do anything about that. Do a web search on DVI & HDCP before you buy any TV equipment. All in all, I'm not nearly so excited as when I bought it.

"The T.V. Repair Man's best friend

Pros:

Cons:

Review: Although it had an outstanding picture it didn't last long. For the price of 7,000 dollars I was hoping that I wouldn't have to spend 600 dollars getting it repaired twice.
