Quick Take: The Panasonic TH-PX600U series consists of three
plasma TVs: the 58-inch TH-58PX600U, the 50-inch TH-50PX600U, and the 42-inch TH-42PX600U. We have not reviewed these sets, but we have reviewed the
Panasonic TH-42PX60U and feel it should be a good indicator of the TH-PX600U series' picture quality. In terms of features, every model in the TH-PX600U series is virtually identical, with a jack pack highlighted by two
HDMI inputs, three component inputs, and a VGA-style PC input. They also all have an
integrated HDTV tuner and a
CableCard slot, which means you can receive over-the-air HDTV and digital cable without an external set-top box.

Summary: The Panasonic TH-42PX600A performed brilliantly in standard definition and when connected to a PC. High definition content and HDTV also looks quite good on the unit, but not as good as the other image modes. If you own a media centre PC or want your DVD
