"A Waste of Money!"
Pros: Interface, Battery life, Inexpensive
Cons: HARD DRIVE, 30 Day Warranty, Awful customer support
Summary: After only 3 1/2 months the hard drive broke down. I tried all measures to revive the Rio but with no success. I will not buy a refurbished Rio, offered by Customer Service for $175.00. I was initially happy with my purchase but then diseaster struck. I would not recommend this Mp3 player. If you look at various reviews you can easily see a common thread. Obviously there is an issue with the hard drive. When I pay $220.00 for a Mp3 player I expect it to last for a decent amount of time. It did not. For the record I handled it like a baby, followed all instructions, and I do not work for Apple. There are other choices out there. I am not endorsing one over the other. Why take a chance and throw your money down the drain. Say no to poor quality and to a company who outsorces its jobs.

Ipod video? $399. My rio? under $150 shipped. Broken rio i fixed within minutes? $45 shipped perfect cosmetic condition. Karmas are getting rare. I think rio offered much better units for your money. Karma remains the best mp3 player.
