Thanks to Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT LCD panel, the 20-inch LC-20S4U features high brightness levels of 430 cd/m2 and low glare reflection. When combined with the Optical Picture Control that automatically adjusts the sets' brightness level based on the room's ambient light, consumers experience superb video in a wide variety of conditions - even if the television is placed near a window, lamp or other strong light source. Since it it EDTV Monitor, this set is compatible with progressive-scan (480p) DVD videos. Along with superior brightness levels, the S4U sets have 500:1 contrast ratios and 170-degree viewing angles.
